Job Description: This position will lead a specific robotic work center. Recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions. This is a working team lead role and will be doing production work as well as guidance.

Shift: 6am-2pm, Monday thru Friday (OT as necessary)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversees specific work centers including Foreman s Reports, SOP s, Employee Utilization, Quality, Shift to Shift communications and Direct Labor Efficiencies.
  • Assists in monitoring job status within the work centers with a direct line to the Supervisor.
  • Follows safe manufacturing practices.
  • Provides communications for material staging information to Material Handler for upcoming shifts.
  • Able to run required reports to ensure timely completion of jobs.
  • Facilitates training of employees within the direct labor work centers and provides appropriate training documentation to Human Resources (more vision than practice).
  • Promotes UA cultural values amongst the team.
  • Ensures effective employee relations. Provides employee coaching and development. Resolve employee issues through problem resolution.
  • Balance quality, productivity, cost, safety and morale to achieve positive results in all areas. Works to continuously improve in all areas.
  • Promotes safety culture and attends all required safety training sessions.
  • Assists Human Resources and Management in identifying potential safety hazards and implements plans for continuous safety improvement.
  • Promotes the organization s quality policy by mentoring production workforce to ensure conformance of all quality specifications and adheres to ISO standards.
  • Offer continuous improvement ideas on a regular basis.
  • Has the authority to stop production when nonconforming parts are detected.
  • Robot responsibilities to include:
    • Loading / Unloading of robot.
    • Pre / Post robot quality checks
    • Communication with Robot Tech team
    • Manages incoming and outgoing workflow.
  • Other duties as assigned by Management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have 2 – 3 years of related production leadership type experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Must possess effective written and verbal communication skills with all levels of the organization.
  • Must possess superior coordination skills.
  • Must be able to improve working conditions (safety, quality, productivity, and cost) and increase direct reports skills and capabilities.
  • Must be able to navigate in a windows-based computer environment.
