What You'll Do
Role Overview:
The Solvent Specialist safely handles Rapid Prototype (RP) models through the solvent cleaning process following Protolabs Procedures and Quality Standards. Shift available is Wednesday - Saturday, 3rd shift
Details:
- Safe removal of excess resin on RP models in a Solvent cleaning process
- Effectively use all checklists associated with the cleaning of RP models according to Protolabs Procedures
- Safe removal of cleaned RP models from build platforms
- Maintain a clean and safe laboratory environment by complying with Protolabs Safety Procedures, and Regulations
- Assist in the removal and disposal of contaminated materials according to Protolabs Procedures
- Assist in the general clean-up and maintenance of the facility. Maintain a “resin” free work environment outside of the specific part cleaning area
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed
- Maintain inventories by checking stock to determine levels
- Observe all Protolabs Safety and Quality Procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
What You Need:
- Must be able to follow instructions and focus on the specific details involved in accurately cleaning of RP models
- Basic computer skills necessary
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Work well in a team environment
- Demonstrate the ability to learn new techniques
- The ability to make precise, coordinated movements of the fingers of both hands to grasp, manipulate and work on small objects
- Ability to lift materials and product up to 50 lbs
- Ability to take direction and adapt quickly to a constantly fluid environment
- Wear all required PPR (gloves, lab coats, etc.)
- Familiarity working with small tools such as files, abrasives, rotary, general cutters and more a plus
- Rigid attention to detail with the capacity to work with small features and tight tolerance
- Must be able to work while standing up to 75% of the time
- Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
Education Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
