As a GIS and Data Management Specialist in Boca Raton, Jacksonville, Orlando, Pensacola, Tampa, Tallahassee, or Titusville, FL you will work with our team of consulting scientists and engineers in addressing our clients data management and data visualization needs. Initially, the candidate will be trained in our standard operating protocols of GIS-based product preparation, database architecture, and laboratory analytical data management. The candidate will use this initial training to support our ongoing operations with a focus on GIS-based data visualization, database management, and other tools to compile, visualize, and analyze data from a variety of streaming and static sources; and assist with the design, development, and implementation of new products and services for our clients.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Is this the right position to help you achieve your professional goals? Some of the key responsibilities for the position include:
- Interacting with multidisciplinary internal teams and external clients to provide integrated data management and visualization solutions for environmental engineering, and geoscience projects;
- Using desktop and enterprise GIS software, including ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Online, and open-source alternatives, to collect, store, analyze, and visualize spatial data;
- Compiling, verifying, analyzing, visualizing, and reporting large and diverse datasets;
- Designing, developing, and managing project-specific relational database applications using desktop and enterprise database software;
- Automating processes with Python and other scripting languages and platforms (VBA, Microsoft PowerAutomate, etc.); and
- Using mobile data collection platforms, such as EQuIS collect, Survey123, Collector for ArcGIS, ArcGIS Field Maps, and GPS equipment for data collection.

EDUCATION AND LICENSURE
- Bachelor's degree in geography, computer science, science, engineering, or related technical discipline. (required)
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- At least 2 years of related work experience in a similar role; or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)
- Proficiency with GIS software (ArcGIS, ArcGIS Pro). (required)
- Proficiency with cartographic data visualization and an understanding of fundamental principles of mapping sciences. (required)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. (required)
- Knowledge of environmental field sampling, chemistry, analytical data validation, groundwater modeling, data analysis and/or visualization. (required)
- Experience in enterprise database platforms. (preferred)
- Experience with the front-end processes of collecting field data with various GPS units and the process of downloading and compiling the data. (preferred)
- Programming skills with languages such as Python, R, SQL, .NET, Java/JavaScript, and VBA. (preferred)
- Experience with the off-the-shelf environmental data management systems (EQuIS, ESdat). (preferred)
- Knowledge of laboratory analytical data verification and validation processes. (preferred)
- Academic training in environmentally related disciplines, such as geology, civil/environmental engineering, water/natural resources, or environmental studies. (preferred)
- Valid U.S. driver s license and satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
