Job Type: contract

Salary: $40.00 - $60.00 per hour

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED. Associates degree or higher in Aviation Maintenance desired.
  • Minimum of 4 years of progressive maintenance experience
  • Valid FAA A&P license mandatory.
  • Experience testing and troubleshooting avionics desired.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.
  • Demonstrated ability to read, interpret, and understand blueprints and maintenance manuals.
  • Ability to work independently and cross-functionally.
  • Demonstrated strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Strong time-management and organizational skills.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a background and drug test.

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Maintenance supervisor, you will be responsible for performing a variety of mechanical and electrical duties on various aircraft models. Your duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Diagnosing malfunctions and performing necessary disassembly, rework, repair, replacement, reassembly, or adjustment of various aircraft systems to prepare aircraft for flight and delivery to customers.
  • Performing maintenance, preventative maintenance, and alterations on certificated aircraft.
  • Ensuring that all work is performed in accordance with current regulations and approved/accepted data.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work space.
  • Conducting aircraft incoming inspections, operational checks, maintenance, repairs, and outgoing inspections to ensure only perfect quality work leaves the facility.
  • Completing all assigned maintenance activities on aircraft.
  • Demonstrating effective maintenance repair techniques using FAA and industry-accepted practices and tooling.
  • Providing mentorship to junior level mechanics.
  • Performing advanced aircraft modifications, sheet metal repair, corrosion, landing gear or engine removals.
  • Ensuring that all work is completed per the maintenance manual, service bulletin, FAA FAR, or other approved documentation.
  • Collaborating with the Maintenance Lead and Quality Inspectors to ensure full compliance with all internal and FAA inspection and documentation requirements.
  • Conducting functional and operational tests to evaluate performance and reliability.
  • Ensuring quality and efficiency of all assigned inspections, service, and maintenance work scopes.
  • Maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Performing any other duties as assigned.
