Job description
We are seeking an Accountant/Controller to oversee all financial resources of our organization.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field AND at least 5 years' experience.
- Advanced knowledge of GAAP, QuickBooks, Excel, computer systems.
- Superior analytical, communication, time management, and leadership skills.
- SDRC, Medi-Cal, HUD, California nonprofit experience a plus.
Responsibilities include:
- Oversee accounting, finance, budgets, compliance, and investments. Ensure proper controls are in place to safeguard assets.
- Maintain financial record-keeping, transactions, accounts receivable/payable, payroll systems, general ledger, and agency bank accounts.
- Prepare monthly profit and loss statements, balance sheets, income statements, and billing for accounts receivable.
- Manage cash flow implementation and report to the CEO necessary adjustments to manage cash flow operations.
- Develop consistent policies of cost allocations as guided by Medi-Cal Cost Reports and prepare annual Cost Statements.
- Act as HUD manager.
- Maintain internal control and safeguards for the receipt of all revenues due, program costs, projected budgets, and enforce cost-effective expenditures.
- Perform audits and file required taxes and tax forms with federal, state, and local government agencies.
- Provide effective leadership and guidance for all office staff to strengthen internal communications throughout the organization and create a positive work environment.

Pay: $65,500.00 - $83,200.00 per year
