Are you looking for employment as an Accounting Clerk at an organization that is admired within the industry? Robert Half is looking to hire an Accounting Clerk for a department at a company in the Banking industry. The Accounting Clerk obligations will consist of matching invoices to purchase orders/ vouchers, data entry, and assisting with Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). This is a long-term contract / temporary to hire position based in the Yellow Springs, Ohio area.

Major responsibilities

• Support Accounts Receivable: apply cash receipt, help with collection of past due balance, and process daily invoices/credit
• Organize documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of expenditure codes and accounting codes
• Companywide accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects
• Aid Accounts Payable: A/P invoice matching & filing, vendor invoices and disbursement filing
• Put together statements and reports that require utilization of an assortment of sources
• Square up discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required
• Post financial information to journals and ledgers

• Outstanding data entry skills
• Spreadsheet and ERP system experience preferred
• AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred
• Ability to multitask and communicate effectively with individuals of all backgrounds
• 1+ years of relevant experience
• Comprehensive knowledge of customer service
