We are looking for an Accounting Manager who will be an outstanding addition to the General Accounting team. Reporting to the Director, Accounting, you will partner with members of the Finance and Accounting Teams, manage journal entries, and lead a team of accounting professionals.

Responsibilities include implementing and maintaining accounting policies and procedures that ensure the highest level of efficiency while maintaining appropriate internal controls. This encompasses rights production accounting, cash flow forecasting, and various monthly, quarterly, and year-end schedules as needed. We are looking for someone who is detail oriented, proactive, organized, focused, and possesses strong analytical and technical skills. You will be able to interact confidently with all teams, cross-functionally and at all levels, as well as serve as a back-up for the Director. Additionally, you will review financial statements, bank reconciliations, account reconciliations, and monthly variance analyses for all networks. Handling a large volume of tasks and possessing the ability to prioritize will be one of your strengths.

• Responsible for the supervising the close process for several sports networks
• Review monthly rights amortization and production flash accruals
• Review monthly close adjustments including, but not limited to, balance sheet reclassifications, accruals, revenue recognition, rights and production
• Review adjusting entries in a timely manner
• Interact directly with Finance group if any questions on proposed journal entries, resolve unusual items or discrepancies/reclassifications
• Review monthly variance analysis which will be provided to management
• Review variance analysis including rights, production and season trend analysis
• Review monthly financial statement packages for applicable networks - Review accounts reconciliations for assigned networks
• Review bank reconciliations
• Active role in implementing process improvements and internal controls testing to ensure compliance with Company policy and SOX
• Assist with internal and external audit requests
• Ensure completion of quarterly reporting schedules
• Review monthly cash flows in a timely manner ensuring all deadlines are met
• Monitor standardization of accounting policies across networks, ensuring consistency in treatment and submissions from Finance to streamline processes
• Responsible for ad hoc reporting, analysis and/or other projects as needed

You will bring:

• At least 5 years accounting experience required
• Bachelor degree in Finance or Accounting required
• Ability to handle large volume of entries for review given deadline constraints
• Detail oriented while maintaining efficiency
• Self-starter, accountable and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to multi-task with attention to detail, accuracy and excellent follow up
• Ability to work independently following prescribed schedules and be resourceful
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is required
• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills, and the aptitude to communicate with all levels of management
• Must have strong accounting, analytical, and technical skills
• Master's degree or CPA preferred
• Cable TV/broadcast experience is a plus
• Knowledge of Oracle or other ERP general ledger system are a plus

The base salary compensation range for this role is $90,000 to $100,000. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidates' relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.
