ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST - PART TIME

North East Ohio Network (NEON) is a council of government agency supporting county boards in the NE region of Ohio, serving children and adults who are at risk for or have a diagnosed developmental disability.

We are seeking a part-time Accounting Specialist to:

• Reconcile company credit cards monthly;
• Assist with monthly bank reconciliations;
• Participate in financial statement preparation;
• Provide accounting and clerical support to the finance department;
• Act as a backup for the A/P and A/R Accounting Specialists;
• Provide operational support to contracted entities;
• Assist with audits and the county Cost Report;
• Other duties as assigned by the Finance Director

WORK HOURS:

Up to 29 hours per week; M-F, typically between 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Excel. Associate Degree in Accounting or related field, or equivalent experience. Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Or a minimum of three years’ experience in related position.

This position requires someone that is outgoing and personable; willing to be a team player and able to think outside the box and take initiative. This person must be able to multi-task and work independently, as well as be meticulous in their work.
