Job description

The Accounts Payable Specialist will assist with our business operations to support various financial activities. The main responsibilities of this individual include processing bills, credit card and bank reconciliation, maintaining vendor relationships and processing payments, and handling discrepancies. This individual must be detail-oriented, an excellent communicator, and possess excellent technical and analytical skills.

Location: Philadelphia, PA
Salary: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
Hybrid/Flexible schedule

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide assistance to the business operations and support various financial activities
• Research invoices to determine proper allocation
• Establishing and maintaining relationships with new and existing vendors
• Utilize software to review payments, and process and update vendor accounts
• Perform credit card and bank account reconciliation
• Manage A/P workload on a daily basis including mail, email, phone calls, and filter work to other A/P specialists as needed
• Ensuring bills and payroll are paid in a timely and accurate manner while following departmental procedures
• Verify invoice coding, ensure proper entry into software, and process payments received
• Prepare weekly pay cycles for checks, EFTs and ACHs
• Ensure that all policies and procedures related to cash disbursements are followed

REQUIREMENTS:

• 1+ years of Accounts Payable experience
• Strong Excel skills required
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Great analytical/mathematical and technical skills required
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to Detail
