Job description

Victory Sign Industries, Ltd, a national sign manufacturing company located in Fort Oglethorpe, GA, is accepting applications for the position of Accounts Payable Specialist. The ideal candidate must be hands on, able to work well with others in a team environment, detail oriented, have excellent communication skills, and professionalism.

Responsibilities:

• Review all invoices for appropriate documentation approval prior to payment
• Prioritize invoices according to cash discount potential and payment terms
• Process all check requests
• Audit and process credit card bills
• Match invoices to checks, obtain signatures and distribute accordingly
• Reconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies
• Assist in month end closing
• 1099 maintenance
• Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices
• Assist with other projects as required

Qualifications:

• Experience with Accounts Payable
• Experience with General Ledger, Accruals, Reconciliations and Journal Entries
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Minimum intermediate level in Microsoft Excel
• Ability to multi-task with attention to detail
• Excellent organizational skills
• 2+ years advanced Bookkeeping experience or Associates Degree in Accounting

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
