HX5 is seeking a Senior Acquisition Program Test & Evaluation Specialist at Robins Air Force Base in support of the Air Dominance team.
Additional Duties:
- Provide knowledge and experience in design, development, analysis, modeling, and simulation, and testing of electro-technology (any electrical and electronic) systems to achieve Electro-Magnetic (EM) compatibility requirements for armament systems.
- Provide knowledge and experience on product design, analysis, and testing in all areas of EM technology applications such as inter and intra-system electromagnetic effects, Electrostatic Discharge (ESD), lightning, Radiation Hazard (RADHAZ) to fuel, personnel, electronics, Hazards of Electromagnetic Radiation to Ordnance (HERO), multipath effects, spectrum management, frequency allocation analysis for analog, digital, and spread spectrum systems, high power electromagnetic, Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP), High Altitude EMP (HEMP), System Generated EMP (SGEMP), High Power Microwaves (HPM), shielding effectiveness, solar radiation and space-based-radiation hardness, and ambient electromagnetic energy characterization
- Provide knowledge and experience shall also include Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) of EM and HPM effects modeling and prediction tools for designing electronic systems and predicting test results.
- Be familiar with and understand all relevant military and commercial standards and handbooks for EM effects (including but not limited to MIL-STD-461, 462, 464, and 331) is essential.
- Prior experience should include the development of: system requirements, design methodologies, models, simulations and validation techniques, frequency spectrum requirements, engineering analysis for frequency authorization, EM test and evaluation (T&E) techniques, EM test execution and analysis, EM susceptibility and vulnerability analysis, and EMI mitigation techniques.
- Be able to problem solve using systems engineering, electromagnetic, circuit design, design for testability, and software engineering principles.
- Prior experience should include designing for EMC, EMI diagnosis, ambient EM field survey, M&S for EM effects, testing in anechoic chambers, mode-stirred chambers, shielded rooms, and open-air test sites.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide T&E technical and engineering support by documenting the review, test concept development, test methodology development, test plan development, test execution, and test reporting, data reduction and analysis, and end-user operational testing.
- Utilize and apply Design of Experiments methods to plan and conduct test programs.
- Prepare (or advise others in the preparation of) criteria, computation/analyses, specifications, cost estimates test plans, and technical reports in the specific area of technical expertise.
- Select and apply engineering techniques and procedures to analyze and evaluate specific problem, data, or other features of the work which are broad in scope and complexity.
- Review and evaluate the quantity, quality, and overall adequacy of results and conclusions drawn from accomplishment of test engineering tasks.
- Develop new and innovative approaches to problems encountered, and accomplish assigned tasks with efficiency, timeliness, and thoroughness.
- Evaluate the configuration, capability, and operational relevance of test environments and ensure they are properly available for the thorough testing of software releases (e.g. fault insertion/fault identification).
- De-conflict schedule conflicts between multiple releases, providing high quality analysis and recommendations to the program test lead.
Education and Experience:
- AS degree and twenty (20) years of professional experience; or a BS degree and fifteen (15) years of professional experience
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
- This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week and offers a flexible work schedule Monday through Friday during core business hours.
Other Position Requirements:
- Proof of U.S. Citizenship is a requirement for this position.
- Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
- Must be able to travel as necessary.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
