The Village at Valley View is hiring! We are seeking activities assistants to join our team. Our village is a 48-bed memory care facility that treats our residents and employees with the utmost respect.
Activities Assistant Responsibilities:
- Leads our resident scheduled activities in cooperation with appropriate resident support groups and community departments.
- Consults and works with the Activities Director in implementing appropriate activities as they relate to the physical, emotional and social needs of the individual residents.
- Coordinates scheduled resident activities and programs, which are sponsored by community groups.
- Assists with community volunteers
- Assists in maintaining appropriate records of resident socialization
- In collaboration with the Activities Director, prepares and distributes a monthly activity schedule and newsletter.
- Follows monthly calendar for scheduled activities.
- Ensures activity areas are well maintained.
- Drives the activity van for scheduled activities and appointments as needed.
- Assists Activities Director with orientation, and marketing duties as requested.
- Keeps Activities Director informed of department needs.
