QUALIFICATIONS:

• Performs work specified on the repair order with efficiency and following dealership standards
• Tests components and systems using diagnostic tools
• Complete services including oil and filter changes, transmission and differential services, tire repair and replacement, wipers, bulbs, and filters
• Communicates directly with the Service Advisor for recommendations
• Ability to use a computer and learn new software
• Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• Executes repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must have appropriate tools
• Minimum 1-year experience with automotive repair

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Communicate additional service/repair needs to service advisors
• Service universal joints, grease fittings, and steering knuckles using hand- or compressed-air powered grease guns
• Inspect fluid levels in steering gears, power steering reservoirs, transmissions, differentials, rear axle housings, and shackles
• Check tire pressure
• Lubricate moving parts with specified lubricants
• Drain oil from crankcase and refill with the required amount of oil
• Add water to the radiator and battery.
• Replace oil and air filters
• Inspect all vehicles for additional repairs
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, safety standards, and codes of conduct
• Follow dealership safety procedures to avoid fumes, dirt, and harsh chemicals.

• Occasional exposure to inclement weather while moving vehicles
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
• Must be able to lift 30 pounds
• Must be able to drive a stick shift vehicle
• Must be able to diagnose customer concerns
• Must be able to make repairs quickly and efficiently
• Ability to operate an automobile
• Prolonged periods of standing, stooping, and bending.
