Job Description
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University's Worldwide is currently hiring adjunct faculty to teach ASCI 254 - Aviation Legislation at our Miami, Florida Campus.
Course Description
This course examines the evolution of federal civil aviation regulations in the United States. Students will examine the past and present problems prompting regulation of the industry, the resultant safety, legislation, airport development, funding legislation and international aviation legislation.
Please note that ERAU policy requires that all adjuncts be physically located within the United States while working for the University, including
during training. Presently, we
are able to support work for new adjuncts from all U.S. states
except California. ERAU
does not support work from international locations with some limited exceptions for individuals who are residing and working from U.S. military bases.
Qualifications
Applicant Qualifications
A minimum of a Masters degree in discipline is required (please see list of acceptable disciplines below), as well as relevant industry experience from within the last 7 years.
Applicable Professional Certification
Appropriate Certification: FAA Certificates to include: (Basic, Instrument, Advanced) Ground Instructor, Airline Transport Pilot, Commercial Pilot, and Flight Examiner.
Desired Professional Training or Experience: Military experience as a Flight Instructor or Standardization and Evaluation Officer.
