Job Summary:
This administrative role provides the face and greeting of Boss Products! As well the ability to perform routine data entry and calculating this interactive role would assist with answering telephones, keeping financial records complete. Performing any combination of routine calculating, posting, and verifying duties to obtain primary financial data for use in maintaining accounting records. May also check the accuracy of figures, calculations, and postings pertaining to business transactions recorded by other workers. Job duties may expand with experience and tenure.
Major Duties:
- Operate computers programmed with accounting software to record, store, and analyze information.
- Check figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper codes. Conducts routine data entry management for accounting records, including accounts payable, billing, and accounts receivable.
- Reviews billing statements, invoices, and similar documents for accuracy; alerts supervisory staff of any discrepancies.
- Distributes accounting reports, as directed.
- May assist with mail distribution, answering telephones, and other clerical tasks, as needed.
- Perform personal bookkeeping services.
- Prepare bank deposits by compiling data from cashiers, verifying and balancing receipts, and sending cash, checks, or other forms of payment to banks.
- Classify, record, and summarize numerical and financial data to compile and keep financial records, using journals and ledgers or computers.
- Performs other duties as assigned
Skills and Qualifications:
- Clerical ‐ Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, stenography and transcription, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.
- Economics and Accounting ‐ Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, banking and the analysis and reporting of financial data.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to establish credibility with leadership and team members
- Ability to anticipate and solve problems
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to upkeep multiple projects at once

Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; technical school attendance preferred
- QuickBooks knowledge and experience required
- Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
Preferred Software Knowledge:
- Inventory Management System(s) – Oracle, SalesForce, Fishbowl, etc…
- Microsoft Office Suite Proficiency Preferred
- QuickBooks Proficiency Required
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk/working on a computer (often)
- Must be able to lift up to 20lbs. (occasionally)
- Warehouse environments with occasional extreme heat/loud machinery (rarely)
