The Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office is currently seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Administrative Assistant for the District Court.
Under the general supervision of the District Court Administrative Supervisor and Director of Administrative Services, the Administrative Assistant will provide exceptional customer service, clerical and administrative support to any of the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office locations in Brockton, Plymouth, Wareham and Hingham. Will be responsible for developing, maintaining and updating files, records and databases. This position involves interaction with attorneys, law enforcement agencies, court personnel, state agencies and the public and involves a wide range of responsibilities.
- Must possess a minimum of 2 years of administrative work experience
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to be flexible in changing work duties based on the office needs
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail
- Prioritize time sensitive matters and ensure all deadlines are met
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A sincere interest in public service, the Criminal Justice System and the role of the prosecution and the work of the Plymouth County District Attorney’s office
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment, prioritize effectively and meet deadlines
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and maturity in handling sensitive matters
- Demonstrated skills in exercising independent judgment
- Diplomacy in dealing with professionals and members of the public
- Self-motivated individual who works well both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to maintain harmonious relationships with fellow employees and other government agencies
- On any given day the ability to work at any of the Plymouth County District Attorney's Office locations in Brockton, Plymouth, Wareham and Hingham
- Always displays the utmost professional appearance
- High school diploma or equivalent required
