GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION: Person responsible for administering processes relating to School of Learning and Teaching programs and student services for School of Learning and Teaching candidates at our Eugene location.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Student Services Responsibilities
- Maintain student databases/track student information.
- Support regional in-service teachers/educators who are navigating the "non-degree seeking student" registration process in collaboration with partner organization and university stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Director and faculty to generate student schedules and program calendars.
- Communicate Eugene campus calendars and student issues to university stakeholders (i.e., registrar, financial aid, business office, etc.)
- Participate in coordination of SLT campus events (program orientations, commencement, SLT Eugene Consortium, etc.).
- Oversee purchasing office supplies, equipment, and inventory for the Eugene campus.
Facilities
- Contact LCC for needed repairs, maintenance, building improvements and routine upkeep of rooms and offices.
- Coordinate scheduling of maintenance work
General Responsibilities
- Communicate with all stakeholders (Greet and direct visitors, answer phones, take messages, set up appointments, etc.)
- Communicate regularly with program candidates regarding program news, requirements, etc.
- Work with university departments to ensure proper flow of information.
- Participate in Eugene SLT faculty meetings by taking and publishing minutes.
- Coordinate campus events and meetings (scheduling, catering, etc.)
- Work with eLearning and Data Systems Specialist to schedule, administer, and compile results of course evaluations each semester.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Two years of experience working in an educational setting (K-12 or higher education).
- Independent use of computer programs and data bases
- Current driver’s license.
- Communicate effectively and knowledgeably with public and private school personnel and central office officials.
- Format business and professional papers and correspondence, good spelling, grammar, and punctuation skills.
- Maintain confidential information according to University, department and professional guidelines.
- Self-directed, detail-oriented with demonstrated organizational skills.
- Develop and maintain kind, collaborative, and positive professional relationships with students, faculty, administration, staff, K-12 partners, and the general public.
