Looking for a full-time Administrative Assistant/Paralegal to join a fast-growing property management company headquartered in Southfield, MI.
Must exhibit attention to detail, adaptability, flexibility, cooperation, dependability, a concern for others, integrity, self control, stress tolerance, good communication skills, troubleshooting, active listening, sound decision making ability and initiative to take on responsibilities and challenges.
Must demonstrate the knowledge of administrative skills, safety and problem solving techniques.
Prior office, administrative and paralegal experience required. Must be able to present a valid driver’s license.
Job Responsibilities include:
– Provide notary services to authenticate legal documents.
– Prepare legal documents such as management agreements, partnership assignments, consent resolutions, affidavits or other legal documents.
– Prepare invoices, reports, memos, letters, financial statements and other documents using word processing, spreadsheet, database, or presentation software.
– Read and analyze incoming memos, submissions, and reports to determine their significance and plan their distribution.
– File and retrieve corporate documents, records, and reports.
– Create, maintain and dissolve legal corporate entities, including annual state filings and assumed name filings.
– Prepare responses to correspondence containing routine inquiries.
– Assist and coordinate insurance related claims administration and documentation. Ensure that claims are documented properly from start to finish.
– Prepare agendas and make arrangements for committee, board, and other meetings.
– Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations.
– Gather and analyze research data, such as statutes, decisions, and legal articles, codes, and documents.
– Assist in acquisitions and dispositions including maintaining checklists, document requests, closing coordination and execution of documents.
– Any other reasonable requests/assistance to key executives and attorneys.
