Summary:
Coordinates function or project for assigned department using advanced administrative skills. Implements administrative procedures, systems, and policy and monitors administrative projects/functions using a high degree of latitude and independent judgment in prioritizing work and meeting deadlines. Maintains records and databases, may create reports and troubleshoot computerized systems; serves as departmental liaison; and may monitor department budget. Maintains office environment and performs limited degree of clerical/secretarial duties.

Minimum Qualifications:

Formal Education Required:
  • Associate’s degree in business administration, secretarial science, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

Experience & Training Required:
  • Three years of increasingly responsible office administration experience to include coordination of administrative projects/functions.

  • Skill in interpersonal communication to effectively interact with all levels of the organization and external contacts.
  • Advanced organizational and clerical/secretarial skills.
  • Skill in written communication.
  • Skill in basic mathematics.
  • Skill in basic accounting procedures.
  • Knowledge of organizational structure and understanding of various departmental functions in a business environment.
  • Report writing skills; ability to understand and troubleshoot computerized systems.
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and resolve moderately complex problems independently.
  • Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity
