Description
The Department of Professional Licensing boards and registries for the Commonwealth, serving 27,000 licensees. We offer an exciting, fast-paced environment with the opportunity to work independently, but also as a team member with co-workers and professional board members. The Operations Section focuses on providing fiscal management and support to the boards.
The position provides professional development opportunities by learning or expanding on previous knowledge of the statewide-accounting system (eMars) and the personnel system (KHRIS). Experience is preferred but is not required – the agency will provide training.

Primary Role:
- Provides professional support to assigned boards, office staff and administrative section supervisors
- Process mail daily –Sort and distribute to staff - Data entry into licensure database for payments received submit to Treasury deposits for assigned boards
- Gathers and compiles data, reports and inquiries for assigned boards
- Provides Human Resource services by processing board appointments/separations, as well as payroll entry for assigned boards
- Serves as timekeeper – maintains all time and attendance records for assigned boards – Prepares, reviews and enters timesheets in payroll system
- Processes invoices and travel reimbursements for assigned boards
- Attends meetings and trainings as required/requested
- Answers phones and assist callers – direct to appropriate office staff when applicable
- Provides other administrative duties as necessary

Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION: Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Three years of professional, administrative, or business experience.
Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: Additional education will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Additional administrative, business, research, and/or clerical experience will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

Incumbents working in this job title primarily perform duties in an office setting.
Probationary Period
This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
