Allegria VIllage in Dearborn MI is looking for a full time Admissions Coordinator to join their Skilled Nursing Facility team!

Range: $60 - 70k depending on experience

Must have at least 2 years experience in healthcare admissions or marketing?


 Responds promptly to inquiries, leads, calls, referral agents and advisors.
 Receiving, reviewing, and responding to CarePort (Allscripts) referrals.
 Management of high-volume referrals with proper organization and appropriate
responses.
 Screens patients by comparing patient's condition to admission criteria; evaluating
and accepting or rejecting patients; referring patients and family to other programs
and institutions.
 Communicates referral information to the Clinical Liaison and/or Nursing Team.
 Confirming insurance coverage, benefits, authorization and/or predetermination for
care to be provided, as needed.
 Knowledge of health insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care
reimbursement guidelines and regulations.
 Works closely with the other Allegria department heads and team to ensure smooth
and successful admissions.
 Responsible for Room Readiness and ensuring staff is prepared to receive new
admission.
 Obtains applicant information by requesting completed applications and medical
information; verifying and clarifying information; interviewing patients and family
members; explaining admission criteria.
 Admits residents by completing admission and financial responsibility forms,
coordinating and arranging physical, social, emotional, and support services to family.
 Entering all resident information into EMR system.
 Prepares weekly Marketing and Admissions report by collecting, updating, and
following up on referrals.
 Meets and exceeds census goals.
 Attends various meetings required of the Admissions Department.
 Maintains admission guidelines by writing, updating, and recommending changes to
admission criteria, policies, and procedures.
 Markets programs and facility by attending marketing and networking events; writing
and placing advertisements; answering questions; conducting tours.
 Resolves new resident/family dissatisfactions by investigating concerns,
recommending changes in service policies and procedures.
 Keeps patients safe by following safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
 Protects organization reputation by keeping information confidential.
 Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions, calling for repairs.
 Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading
professional publications; maintaining personal networks.
 Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and
different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
