Responsibilities:

  • Supervisor will oversee multiple SONYC and COMPASS after school programs.
  • Attend all required meetings and training.
  • Responsible for the supervision of Program Directors, scheduling, interviewing, and hiring.
  • Facilitate weekly cluster meetings and provide Program Directors with guidance, resources, and trainings
  • Promoting a healthy and safe environment for both children and staff.
  • Be organized with documents, appointments and events
  • Supervisor will conduct workshops, orientations for parents and staff, and staff meetings
  • Monitor students and staff activities on site to ensure proper protocols are constantly maintained.
  • Reports all incidents to the executive team and documents them to the Program Manager and in the DYCD system. Collect incident reports (accidents, injuries, altercations, etc.)
  • Collect and retain all student and staff files, confirmed the completion of all documents in a timely manner and ensured all documents were kept up to date and in compliance with the NYS DOH guidelines.
  • Maintain program quality through staff supervisions, program evaluations and weekly staff meetings
  • Foster and build strong relationships with community leaders, school leaders and school community
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, city agencies, CBO’s, parents and participants
  • Supervisor would be responsible for payroll, delivering checks to staff, ordering materials, scheduling meetings,
  • Supervisor will ensure the proper safety measures are communicated and in place for all program participants and staff.
  • Recruit, train and supervise staff according to DYCD & Bergen Policies.
  • Provide reports, update and coordinate weekly meetings
  • Ensure best practices of engagement, participation, and consistent attendance of youth enrolled in activities.
  • Perform weekly site visits and complete site visit log
  • Ensure that all DYCD, DOH and Bergen guidelines are followed and adhered to.
  • Communicate with Educational Specialist and Program Director regarding upcoming plans and necessary materials and supplies

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.50 - $30.00 per hour

Experience:

  • Childcare: 2 years (Required)

License/Certification:

  • First Aid Certification (Preferred)
  • CPR Certification (Preferred)
