Overview:

The Allocation Analyst will manage inventory levels for the category across a fleet of retail stores, identifying risks & opportunities. They will partner with planning and merchandising to develop and execute responsive and proactive strategies accordingly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage inventory from initial allocation through end of life cycle of merchandise, including replenishment and consolidation of goods to other stores or channels
  • Manage overall store inventory levels based on store capacity, seasonality and selling curves
  • Create and implement allocation, consolidation, and inventory sell down strategies
  • Communicate to stores current out of stock items and inform them of inbound assortment
  • Partner with stores to understand store specific allocation needs to create store attributes and clusters
  • Create pre-season allocation strategies based on allocation mins, capacity, and store tiering
  • Complete and share weekly business recaps with team and cross-functional partners
  • Track and communicate delivery status to cross functional members with action plans
  • Create store sales & inventory analysis and action plans
  • Perform size selling analysis and provide recommendations for changes, at both the total buy and store level

What you bring:

  • 1-3 years of Allocation Planning experience or relevant financial or field experience, with a preference for experience in JDA Allocation
  • Possess a clear understanding of financial measurements and retail KPIs: sales, gross margin, weeks of supply, inventory turn, sell through, etc. and how to impact them
  • Ability to negotiate with and influence peers, members of a cross-functional team, and management
  • Strong interpersonal communication
  • Strong time management, prioritization, and organizational skills
  • Organizational skills are essential as well as the ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines
  • Team focused, confident, and professional
  • Ability to effectively receive and communicate feedback
  • Passion for the vineyard vines brand
