GTS is seeking an AS400 Administrator who meets the qualifications identified below.

Job Title: AS400 Administrator

Job Location: Remote but must be local to Dallas/DFW area

Pay Rate: 45-50/HR

Job Type: Contract, Full time 40hrs/week

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for message handling, command line utilities, work management, job and print control, device management, system configuration, system security, backup and restore, refresh, disaster recovery, file transfer integration, OS, and application PTF management, job monitoring and recovery, hardware optimization and planning, and installations and upgrades.
• Responsible for the protection of data. Monitors the High Availability software, role swaps, and disaster recovery for these systems, and troubleshoots any problems or exceptions.
• Manages roles and rights to use systems and servers.
• Manages and maintains production and non-production environment.
• Installation, configuration, and maintenance of IBM hardware, software, networked devices, journaling, and IBM Access software.
• Load and test operating system and application software releases in development/test and production environments; load system software patches.
• Assist with Tier1 user requests IBM.
• Manage IBM i PTF processing including validation plans on production and non-production systems.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour
