Job description
Our client in North Mankato needs assemblers and we have multiply shifts available!!! They are looking for someone to assemble and do testing for finished products, valves, or hydraulic cylinders. This individual would be following duties under the close supervision of a Manufacturing Supervisor.
3rd Shift: Monday-Thursday - 9:00PM-7:00AM - $19.50
Responsibilities:
- Gathers blueprints, routing sheets, setting specifications, and all related fixtures and tools necessary to assembly the products when directed.
- Moves parts to assembly area from storage racks.
- Fastens parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, or other fasteners.
- Uses blueprints, routing sheets, settings specifications, required hand tools and fixtures, and test benches to assist in assembly operation.
- Uses a variety of hand tools in a safe manner.
- Assembles parts into repair kits and switches; then packages and moves the products to the shipping department for further processing.
- Replaces all paper work from assigned job(s); cleans workstation and area for next job.
- Inspects products prior to packaging and returns rejected products to production departments.
- Observes packaging operations and inspects containers to verify conformance to specifications.
- Requisitions containers and other supplies of delivery to work stations.
- Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
- Tallies number of products packaged or records information such as type of products packaged.
- Learns and maintains time and production records.
- Operates pallet jack to assist in loading or moving materials and products.
- Packs parts properly to prevent damage during transportation to next operation.
- Works overtime as requested/required by supervisor.
- Follows and monitors work instructions and ISO procedures.
- Looks for and recommends product and process improvements in support of corporate goals, objectives and activities.
Preferred Skills:
- Ability to read and understand work instructions.
- Ability to read English and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, Engineering prints and drawings as well as procedure manuals.
- Ability to communicate effectively with shipping clerks, other assembly and shop personnel.
Required Skills:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
