For more than 180 years, The Verdin Company in Cincinnati, Ohio has been manufacturing cast bronze bells and custom outdoor clocks for cities and towns, universities, and commercial customers around the world. Our unique products are featured in thousands of communities across North America.

We are looking for an Assembler to join our team to fabricate and assemble large, decorative post clocks for display in city centers, golf courses, universities, and other outdoor areas. In this role, you will:

  • Fabricate and assemble decorative post clocks using various aluminum, fiberglass, electrical, and lighting components.
  • Carefully measure and mark material components for cutting and drilling.
  • Grind, sand, and prep cast metal and fiberglass parts for painting and finishing.
  • Verify correct quantities of component parts in each finished clock.
  • Track inventory of parts used in fabrication process.
  • Follow prescribed fabrication process to ensure clocks are completed on schedule and within budget.
  • Ensure that finished clocks comply with applicable safety regulations, including UL Listing requirements.
  • Test finished products for quality control, including accuracy of timepiece and digital clock controller.

The ideal candidate will excel at building customer relationships. In addition, we look for:

  • 5+ years' experience in assembly, metal fabrication, or related role.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, and electrical diagrams.
  • Proficient with metal fabrication techniques and hand tools.
  • Careful attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. and manipulate large, heavy objects with appropriate equipment.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Basic computer proficiency – e-mail, inventory tracking, time and material management.
  • Welding experience is a plus.
