Assistant Director of Events NEW

- Effective Date: May 1, 2023
- Responsibilities:
An Assistant Director for Events typically:
- Develops and implements daily visit experiences for prospective students, including the creation of in-person and virtual events
- Develops and manages logistics for major, high-profile recruitment events, including Discover Western, Experience Western, Western Express, Admitted Students Day and other events
- Directs the development, facilitation, training, hiring and supervision of students for the Admissions Ambassador program and graduate assistants
- Facilitates campus visit opportunities for middle school, high school and community college groups
- Represents Western Illinois University at local and campus-based recruitment and outreach events
- Required Qualifications:
CREDENTIALS TO BE VERIFIED BY PLACEMENT OFFICER
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Business Administration, Student Affairs, Education or a closely related field.
- One (1) year (12 months) of professional work experience in Events Planning, Conference Management, Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Education or any other related field.
- Starting Salary: $3,810 /monthly
