Job description
Centerville CSD is hiring for an assistant high school principal who will also serve as the activities director for the district.
Minimum Qualifications Education
- Master’s Degree in Education or related field and a valid Iowa Administrative License. Evaluator Approval Required.
- Have a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in teaching.
- Coaching or activity sponsor experience required.
About our District
Centerville CSD is a mid-sized district in south central Iowa with a rich heritage and huge pride in its students and alumni. With an average enrollment of approximately 1,300 students Centerville offers many sports and activities for our students to participate in. Some of those opportunities for our students are vocal music, instrumental music, thespian activates, speech contests, football, basketball, soccer, tennis, golf, track, cross country, trap shooting, e-sports, robotics, art clubs and garden clubs. With so many opportunities to shine during their school career our students receive a solid educational and social base to learn well, become lifelong learners and contribute positively to society. Many of of our students go on to do great things which we continue to recognize each year with recognition at our Homecoming celebrations with Athletic Hall of Fame awards and Distinguished Alumni award.
Centerville CSD is very fortunate to have the support of the Centerville Schools Foundation which has been instrumental to help in providing needed improvements and opportunities to the district, its students and staff.
