Under the direction of the Restaurant Area Manager and General Manager: Manages all restaurant level operations and programs aligned with SBBQ strategies and objectives. Leads the management team to providing engaging communication. Develops team members and fosters the Smithville BBQ culture.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Demonstrated comprehension of the job. Possess the skill level required of the job.
2. Willing to put in as much time as necessary to complete the tasks of the job.
3. Maintains and grows sales.
4. Effectively manage labor to meet customer service standards.
5. Conducts performance evaluations regularly for employees.
6. Manages the recruiting and interviewing of new employees for the restaurant.
7. Manages special events, community events, and other events to build customer and community loyalty.
8. Communicates, trains and educates employees on all changes or new processes, products, promotions or equipment introduced to the restaurant.
9. Tracks and manages labor and food costs on each shift to meet restaurants goals.
10. Conducts quality assurance checks on all food product at all stages.
11. Counts, balances, and reconciles register drawers.
12. Ensures that all standards are being met at all times (i.e. customer service, recipes and cleanliness).
13. Anticipates and fulfills customers’ needs and resolve customer issues
14. Builds relationships with customers, community, and employees.
15. Completes daily walk-through tasks on manager’s lists
16. Schedules and assigns duties to employees.
17. Trains all levels of employees on new promotions, procedures, equipment etc.
18. Rewards and recognizes all levels of employees for contributions and restaurant successes.
19. Hires, mentors, coaches and terminates employees.
20. Mediates employee issues as they arise.
21. Ensures that all personnel paperwork, personnel files, performance reviews, merit increases and terminations. are completed according to procedures and in compliance with state and federal law
22. Enters daily financial information into the computer; runs, reviews, and analyzes business reports and data.
23. Prepares appropriate paperwork and makes recommendations for salary increases.
24. Observes safety and security standards.
