Assistant Manager in Training wanted Optometry Office in Bothell & Woodinville
A professional & successful multi-location Optometry Office located in Bothell & Woodinville area looking for an assistant office manager position. Looking for candidates with at least an associates degree and some sort of management experience. Candidates also will need proof of vaccination status to apply for this position.
We are looking for a motivated individual to onboard through our optometric training program quickly (within 3-6 months, usual onboarding takes about 6-12 months) and then assume a management role where you'll be required to lead a team of three or four employees without supervision a few times a week. Technical optometry related skills are not a prerequisite. We are willing to train. Long term goals for our assistant managers is to eventually become a location office manager. Compensation ranges for our lead managers are $55,000 to $80,000.
28-38 hours (part time or full time) are available initially and depending on performance and availability more hours will be available if candidate desires.
We are looking for an individual with:
A warm, engaging, friendly, professional personality to greet and help patients. No optometric or health care experience required but Retail/Customer Service experience is a BIG plus. We are willing to train otherwise.
- Must be able to multi-task, problem solve and be detail oriented.
- Must be able to work independently and also cohesively with fellow team members in the office.
- Must have an associates degree of college or post high school education.
- Preferably some experience some leadership or management experience.
Basic Job Description:
Communication and correspondence via phone/text/email
- Schedule and reschedule appointments
- Verify insurance benefits for patient appointments and obtain preauthorization for services and procedures when necessary
- Greets patients in a friendly professional manner
- Complete diagnostic testing for patients prior to see the doctor (training will be provided)
- Prepare and post transactions using practice management software
- Collects payments from patients
- Reconcile daily receipts received
- Maintain contact lens trials and orders when necessary
- Help with ophthalmic dispensing of eye wear and frames (training will be provided).
- Help with eyewear selection.
- Be able to prioritize work flow and changing work environment.
- Be able to lead a team of three to four employees a few times a week.
