Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Create positive learning environments including resources based on child-directed learning

• Develop strategies to guide positive children's behavior

• Build good, open communication with children, families and staff

• Observe and record children's growth, development and behaviour using electronic portfolios

• Ensure the learning environment is clean, hygienic and safe

• Help develop teaching goals for the center and its teachers

• Undertake administrative tasks as required

You will need:

• To start and complete DCF 45 hour Training.

• Experience working in a childcare setting

• Fantastic organisational, leadership and teamwork skills

• Sound written and verbal communication skills

• A good level of computer literacy

• Level II Background Check

• Willingness to achieve a good understanding of the Florida Early Standards

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Must have a warm and supportive attitude and disposition toward working with children and their families.

• Must be reliable.

• Must be flexible in receiving assignments or adapting to changes in the program.

• Must be willing to accept supervision in order to improve work performance.

• Must have excellent oral and written communication skills. Must be physically able to perform the job of a teacher of young children.

Through age appropriate programming, Golden Triangle serves children age 6 weeks to 12 years. Competitive compensation $12 - $15 commensurate with education and experience. *Benefits available.
