Communication, Media & Languages at Morehead State University is accepting applications for a full-time, tenure track position as an Assistant Professor, Strategic Communication. The anticipated start date is January 8, 2024.

RESPONSIBILITIES : Applicants should be able to teach courses in strategic communication, social media, and conflict management. Secondary areas of instruction include basic speech or speechwriting, media writing, and possible instruction in the candidate’s area of expertise. The successful candidate will teach in online, face-to-face, undergraduate and graduate environments, and will engage in research, service, advising and outreach activities.
REQUIREMENTS : Ph.D. in communication or closely-related discipline. ABDs with completion by August 2023 may be considered. Demonstrated excellence in oral and written communication a must.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS : Preference will be given to those with a background in strategic communication, social media, and health communication plus a record of successful teaching experience in higher education.
