Maxus Properties is seeking to hire a full-time Assistant Property Manager for Monogram on Washington in St. Louis, Missouri. Maxus Assistant Property Managers are primarily responsible for the resident accounting side of the business, support of our Property Managers, and the maintaining of positive resident relations of our communities.

DESCRIPTION: Responsibilities of the Assistant Property Manager include:

  • Collect and post rents and other income, and maintain accurate records of rental receipts through the preparation and distribution of delinquency reports to the Property Manager.
  • Maintain all account records and transactions including NSFs, rent allowances, concessions, rent increases, and other management approved debits and credits in OneSite.
  • Prepare and deliver legal and formal notices, including balance due, late notices, lease violations, etc.
  • Initiate all necessary evictions by preparing copies and forwarding all appropriate paperwork for eviction proceedings to the property attorney; ensure all legal proceedings are followed through to completion.
  • Conduct resident move-outs including inspection and assessment of final charges.
  • Maintain courteous communications and follow-up correspondence with residents, applicants, prospects, vendors, and representatives of other companies.
  • Assist with resident retention with renewal programs, community events, etc.
  • Make decisions and act as a leader, manager, and mentor in the absence of the Property Manager based on the best interest of the property.
  • Complete any other projects as needed and under the guidance and direction of the Property Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent is required; current driver's license is required; 2 years of property management experience with RealPage or equivalent property management software is required; familiarity with Fair Housing and commitment to abiding by all Fair Housing regulations is required.

SOFT SKILLS: Strong communication, especially with a multitude of personality types; time management (punctuality and multi-tasking); reliability; creativity; ambition.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
