ASSISTANT PROPERTY MANAGER

Infinity at Plaza West - Kansas City, MO

Burlington Capital Properties, one of the fastest growing full-service multifamily property management companies in the nation, has a fantastic full-time assistant manager opportunity at Infinity at Plaza West in Kansas City, Missouri (infinityplazawest.com). We are seeking a friendly, customer service-oriented individual with at least two years of experience in the areas of leasing, administration, and management to be an ambassador for this property. The rich history of the Midtown-Westport area of Kansas City provides the perfect backdrop to this community we take pride in serving. This position requires availability Monday through Friday, with some weekend hours.

The successful Assistant Manager will:

  • Assist the property manager with daily operations
  • Interact and communicate effectively with site personnel, residents and vednors to address maintenance and facility needs
  • Communicate with tenants regarding property-related issues.
  • Coordinate with outside vendors to arrange for trash removal, maintenance, landscaping, security and other services.
  • Collaborate with property management team to produce advertising materials
  • Perform leasing functions including: greeting, touring, and qualifying prospective residents along with explaining the terms of occupancy
  • Complete move-in and move out procedures
  • Participate in resident retention/relations
  • Perform administrative duties including collecting monthly fees and maintaining records of payments and rental activity
  • Participate in all staff meetings and contribute to team efforts by accomplishing tasks as needed
  • Comply with anti-discrimination laws regarding housing, renting and advertising.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Minimum two years of leasing and/or administration experience required
  • Ability to follow directives and work with minimum supervision
  • Basic math/bookkeeping skills required
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in property management industry preferred
  • Ability to use computer for communication, financial reporting and personnel management
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to interact positively with residents, employees, vendors and the general public
  • Must have basic understanding of the English language, and be able to communicate effectively and professionally
