Compensation
$200,000 per year
Description and Responsibilities
- Asst. RN Managers have the direct report RN's in department
- Asst. Managers’ report to Dept. Manager
- Manages the units day to day clinical operations including practice standards, staffing, payroll, budgets, fiscal management, and quality improvement.
- Supervises a single unit (8 to 24 hours) of approximately 20 - 60+ employees.
- Responsible to lead a shift via: successful receiving from hand-off manager, hand-off at end of shift
- Manages activities of the unit(s), monitors quality, service and utilization standards
- Supervises the day to day shift activities.
- Team Leader/Supervisor
Basic Qualifications:
Experience
- Two years as charge nurse
Requirements
- Active RN California License
- Current BLS certification required.
BSN or bachelor's degree in a health care or related field - ALCS certification strongly preferred.
Additional Qualifications:
- Experience teaching/training
- Mentor experience Seeking problem solver style, solution oriented, non-blaming culture
- Positive communication style, calm under pressure
Demonstrated knowledge of quality improvement, clinical care delivery processes, staffing, and budgeting.
Knowledge of Nursing Practice Act, The Joint Commission and other federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.
Strong interpersonal communication skills. - Must be able to work in a labor/management partnership environment.
