Assistant to the Director

Immigration Services

Catholic Charities of Los Angeles, Inc. is one of the largest human services providers in California that operates a variety of programs to serve the poor and strives to find permanent solutions to crisis situations by offering clients the tools and resources needed to achieve greater self-reliance and stability in their lives.

Immigration Services in Los Angeles is a program of Catholic Charities of Los Angeles is seeking an individual will assist with the day-to-day operation of the program. This position will work very close to the Program Director in the areas of grant proposal writing, program reports, financial reports, fundraising and marketing for the program. Attention to detail and critical thinking are key components to succeed in this position.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist the Director with the day-to-day operation of the program.
  • Serve as a primary assistant to the Director, including new hiring, staff retention, grant applications, contracts, budgets and operation of the program.
  • Prepare agency and funded program reports.
  • Monitor personnel attendance and review their timesheets to ensure accuracy.
  • Provide oversight of IRR’s social media platforms.
  • Provide oversight for Continuous Quality Improvement and Case Worthy services data entry.
  • Supervise staff and maintenance program records in accordance with approved standards and practices.
  • Assist with special events and fundraising.
  • Performs related duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Management
  • Two to three years’ experience in grant writing, budget preparation and financial analysis.
  • Analytical thinking.
  • The ability to conduct and manage research.
  • Database maintenance.
  • Information and financial reporting.
  • Grant writing and budget proposal experience
  • Must have excellent communication skills (written and verbal).

Location: Los Angeles

Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week, M-F

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $64,480.00 - $70,000.00 per year
