Assistant to Vice President for Enrollment Management and Marketing
Job description
Reporting directly to the Vice President for Enrollment Management and Marketing, the Assistant to the Vice President provides executive level support. The Enrollment Management and Marketing area includes: Admissions, Financial Aid, Design Center, and Marketing & Communications offices.
The Assistant to the Vice President’s responsibilities include supporting and overseeing fiscal and operational tasks such as payment of invoices, purchase orders; handling confidential administrative activities; coordinating internal and external communications; and managing administrative duties and operations for the Vice President. Duties will also include travel arrangements, calendar management, preparing and organizing meeting materials and minutes, generating reports, and budget tracking.
The Assistant to the Vice President for Enrollment Management and Marketing will serve as the first point of contact for the VP, liaising with constituents to ensure strategic use of the Vice President’s time, while maintaining the highest level of confidentiality. The Assistant will represent the Vice President at campus, community, committee and volunteer meetings; and serve as a resource to the Board of Trustees and donors.
The successful incumbent will have a high level of professionalism, present a professional appearance, and have the ability to work a regular business schedule, and additional hours as business necessitates.

- Must possess a high level of interpersonal and human relations skills, flexibility and ability to interact appropriately with a wide variety of personality types.
- Ability to assess workload and effectively prioritize and follow through on tasks; ability to plan and manage projects, including details for large scale events.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Strong internet research skills. Adept at completing complicated online research projects with minimum supervision. Ability to quickly locate and utilize most appropriate and current sources. Ability to clearly and succinctly communicate research findings.
- Interest and aptitude for working with, and learning, new technologies.
- Must possess the ability to read, analyze, interpret, and summarize reports.
- Must be exceedingly detail-oriented, self-motivated and self-directed; exceptionally organized; able to maintain composure in all situations; adept at time-management, prioritizing, and managing multiple, competing deadlines.
- Must have a high level of professionalism and be able to present a professional appearance.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Three to five years of progressively responsible administrative support experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience supporting a senior-level executive; experience in higher education; experience with recruitment, sales, marketing or other relevant fields.
