Cypress Assisted Living, located in Anacortes, WA is seeking a full-time Assisted Living Wellness Director.

We have a very rewarding opportunity for the right candidate to work alongside our highly qualified caregiving team at Cypress Assisted Living. Situated on the beautiful Fidalgo Island we are an 48- bed Medicaid Assisted Living facility.

Our approach to resident care is simple: we treat the whole person, not just the ailment. This means that our individualized care plans for residents address all physical symptoms, as well as mental stimulation, socialization and needed support to assist with a resident’s emotional needs.

The selected candidate will not only possess the professional credentials for this position but will also have an innate ability to work compassionately with the elder population in which we serve.

Position Summary:

As the Wellness Director, you will be responsible for overseeing delivery of care to our residents. You will lead residential case management and provide clinical oversight to Resident Care Coordinators (RCC), Nurses, Caregivers, Medication Technicians, and other resident care staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures quality resident care is consistently delivered in accordance with all local, state and federal guidelines
  • Partners with the Executive Director on recruiting, hiring, new hire orientation, training and in-services for the Resident Care Coordinators, Medication Assistants, LPNs and Caregivers
  • Collaborates and partners with physicians, pharmacy and other medical professionals to promote quality care and independence for our residents
  • Conducts comprehensive resident pre-admission, admission and quarterly assessments
  • Oversight of QA functions
  • Provide Intermittent nursing care
  • Ensures compliance, efficiency and team’s understanding of policies and procedures
  • Creates and maintains resident care plans
  • Additional duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Licensed Registered Nurse
  • Minimum of 1 year of clinical and supervisory experience in long term care, community-based care or assisted living/memory care
  • Quality assurance/improvement and staff development experience
  • The ability to work according to the necessary schedule to meet job requirements with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Previous experience as a Wellness Director, Charge Nurse or Director of nursing helpful
  • Exhibit good time management and organization skills
  • Possess the ability to handle complex issues
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Express compassion for residents, staff and guests on a consistent basis
  • Demonstrates humility

Pay: $80,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
