Position Summary:
The position will work with the Director of Marketing, Sponsorships, & Fan Engagement to create sponsorship packages and develop partnerships with corporations and organizations. This includes identifying potential sponsors, soliciting sponsorships, and executing sponsorship agreements. This position is responsible for the execution of marketing efforts and promotions on game day. This person will also work with the Sports Information Director to develop new strategies for digital and social communication. This position will assist in the creation of new media marketing, digital media advertising, fundraising strategies, promotions, and sponsorship development and fulfillment for Alaska Nanooks Athletics.Duties:
Expert knowledge of athletics administration.
Advanced knowledge and understanding of multiple sports programs.
Advanced knowledge of marketing, advertising and fundraising principles.
Advanced program, project and facilities management skills.
Advanced budgeting and fiscal skills.
Ability to develop and initiate sound recommendations to executive management.
Ability to create and implement effective long range and strategic plans.
Ability to develop and recommend programs/projects.
Must have knowledge of and adhere to NCAA and GNAC rules and regulations.
Master’s degree in related field and three years progressively responsible experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Knowledge and experience in marketing, advertising, and/or revenue generation (fundraising).
Knowledge and experience in athletics, sports, business, or university administration.
This is a full-time, 12-month, exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package. New hires will be placed on the UA staff salary schedule, Grade 82, salary is negotiable based on education and experience.
