Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking an IT Associate Director for the The Office of Information Technology (OIT)-Enterprise Service Delivery. This position is responsible for creating and maintaining a highly agile and cohesive structure to effectively coordinate enterprise IT support for Rutgers University, New Brunswick.

Among the key duties of this position are the following:
  • Provides direct guidance to three areas: NB F/S Help Desk, After-hours support and LMS Help Desk.
  • Analyzes and creates seamless processes (both user facing and internal).
  • Optimizes resources to achieve the highest levels of productivity, quality and client satisfaction.
  • Collaborates with the NB student Help Desk leadership as well as OIT Help Desk leaders for Newark and Camden.
  • Serves as a back-up for the Associate Director responsible for the NB student Help Desk.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • A minimum of eight years of relevant work experience, with three (3) of the years managerial, supervisory, or team leadership experience.

Certifications/Licenses

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Extensive project management skills in a university IT support environment.
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills required.
  • Must have demonstrated ability to cooperate and work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a technical support and higher education environment.
  • Leading teams of student staff and FT staff.
