Job DescriptionOur Engineers support internal and external manufacturing operations remain operational, continuously improve and innovate. With our extensive range of facilities and environments, our Engineers have opportunities across many diverse areas including Biological, Chemical, Automation, Capital Projects, Maintenance, Safety, Process Development, Technical Services, Utilities and Validation.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible leading all aspects of Wilson plant operations from a Site Services, Utilities, and Facilities perspective. Provide support staff that will manage the facility, site services, and utility programs. Programs will include site security, lawn maintenance, fire protection, security systems, emergency response, custodial support, cafeteria services, uniform services, pest control, stock room operations, solid waste disposal, CAD services, utilities maintenance, and facility maintenance processes. Supports plant operations with leading site service, utility, and facility activities, projects, and requests from all departments, with all employees as customers. The leadership position will continue to focus on improvement opportunities bringing value to the company and the plant.
GENERAL PROFILE:
Lead all aspects of the Site Services, Utility, and Facility programs. Developing a highly motivated and self-directed work team through stated objectives, empowerment, training, and teamwork.
Develops career paths for all proprietary site services, utility, and facility personnel, help in developing and approving annual PPG’s seeking feedback from key stakeholders for the review process.
Responsible for the site services, utility, and facility budget ensuring accurate annually forecasting spending and tracking the EA. Will participate in annual profit planning exercises.
Develop and implement a training program for site services and utility personnel developing highly motivated and qualified personnel through the successful completion of specified and required training courses.
Responsible leading staff in maintaining and operating all the security systems, employee badging, electronic access control, video management system (CCTV), fire alarm detection and suppression systems, fixed and portable fire protection systems, ensuring proper functioning, and training.
Responsible leading staff in maintaining and operating all utility systems including the Siemens building automation system (BAS), boilers, chillers, air compressors, cold storage units, HVAC systems, electrical distribution systems, WFI/RO water systems and clean steam systems.
Responsible leading staff in maintaining the site facility repair modifications/enhancements from a project and maintenance perspective.
Reporting organization develops and maintains all site service, security, facility, and utility procedures.
Serve as the site’s liaison with all outside law enforcement agencies.
Lead all outsourced services, facility, and utility maintenance for the Wilson site including site security, cafeteria operations, pest control, lawn maintenance, housekeeping, safety glasses, safety shoes, uniform services, solid waste disposal, recycling, document shredding, facility maintenance and stock room operations.
Lead the operation and maintenance of the sites communication systems including paging and two-way radios continually seeking ways to enhance the sites capabilities through new technologies.
Lead and maintain accountability of equipment and scheduled maintenance activities with outside contractors/vendors.
Coordinates with all our Manufacturing Division -Wilson employees to ensure needs are met in a safe, secure, and pleasant work environment is maintained.
Partner with the sites EH&S department in developing loss prevention programs, implementing new standards and guidelines that impact the plant and through enforcement of environmental and safety standards.
Fire Protection / Life Safety
Leads preventative maintenance program meeting reliability and life safety compliance expectations.
Team develops all preventative maintenance plans for all fire protections and life safety systems.
Maintains the sites preventative maintenance program for all site fire protection and life safety systems.
Ensures all systems are inspected and maintained as in compliance with all local, state, federal, NFPA and FM guidelines and standards and are closed out on time.
Serve as the site liaison with XL Gaps for annual site inspection.
Emergency Response / Medical Response
Leads the sites Incident Response Team
Provides necessary resources and training to all emergency response personnel ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, maintaining the sites emergency command center in a state of readiness.
Oversees site drills and mutual aid training with other local emergency response organizations.
Requests off-site resources, and coordinates communications between response agencies and Plant personnel; establishing relationships with local law enforcement and emergency response organizations.
Manages the initiation of Plant-wide evacuations or partial evacuations.
Serves as the sites Incident Commander for all emergency activities.
Develops and implements all Emergency, Fire Department, Fire Protection procedures
Emergency Management
Serve as the site’s liaison with all outside emergency response agencies
Oversee the sites Incident Response Team
Serve as the site’s liaison with XL Gaps and city Fire Marshal
Capital Projects
Manages all capital departmental review meetings reviewing utility, facility, and site services requirements.
Attend basis of design (BOD) meetings ensuring all projects are compliant with site and corporate standards.
Serve as the site liaison with XL Gaps and city Fire Marshal for all site projects.
Facilities Maintenance
Leads and manages the sites facility maintenance program
Ensures the sites facility maintenance personnel remain current with required training and safety standards.
Leads in the development of small and large projects coordinating project execution with the facilities maintenance technician, engineers and required construction management or construction personnel.
Support EH&S system owner requirements
Utility Maintenance
Leads the sites utility maintenance program
Ensures the sites utility personnel remain current with required training and safety standards
Manages work order and preventative maintenance PM completion ensuring compliance with KPIs/metrics
Leads the utility preventative maintenance program, corrective maintenance program and calibration program
Leads in the development of small and large projects coordinating the execution with the utility engineers and required construction management or construction personnel
Team responsible authoring deviations for equipment failures impacting GMP processes/areas
Leads and manages annual utility shutdowns scheduled throughout the year
Support site Sustainability initiatives
Support EH&S system owner requirements
MRO Storeroom
Leads the MRO program at the Wilson facility

Work with the IPT’s, COE’s and above site Reliability in ensuring a robust parts program
TSA (Transportation Safety Administration)

Manages the site CAD program ensuring all site drawings are up to date.

Individual must have a strong working knowledge of computers, with a Windows operating platform and the following programs: Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
Experience with SAP
GMP experience in the pharmaceutical industry
