About the role
Associate who will lead pieces of financial planning and analysis work that includes business reviews, and full year projections with departmental partners.
You will report to the Director FP&A.
This is a remote / work-from-home role. You must reside in one of the following states: Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, or Washington, D.C. Note, this list of states is subject to change. #LI-Remote
The base pay for this role in the states of California, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, and Washington is: $96,000 - $126,000 per year. The base pay for this role in all other locations is: $86,400 - $113,400 per year. You are also eligible for employee benefits, participation in Oscar's unlimited vacation program and annual performance bonuses.
Responsibilities
- Perform financial analysis including variance analysis, forecasting, risk assessments and zero based budget planning for the business.
- Evaluate financial results relative to budget and other benchmark data including providing commentary for management reviews.
- Support business on financial planning and performance management including annual and ad-hoc budget processes.
- Create ad hoc analysis to support the business including trend analysis, profitability programs across multiple insurance departments and outlier identification including explanations.
- Partner with our teams to lead the best financial results including performance management.
- Develop financial models that communicate actual results, forecasted performance, and variances to plan, forecast and budget .
- Create process improvements, automate monthly reporting and help with documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years of finance experience including FP&A experience in Healthcare, Insurance or Financial Services
- Budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, financial modeling, pro forma analysis, short-term and long-term planning.
- Advanced proficiency in google products - Sheets, Docs and Slides or Microsoft products.
Bonus Points
- Experience in the managed care, healthcare or insurance
- Proficiency in SQL/BigQuery to analyze large datasets
- Proficiency working with NetSuite and Adaptive

Pay Transparency:
Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education, and experience.
