Skeo Solutions is an employee-focused consulting firm providing innovative, collaborative and multidisciplinary solutions to complex and pressing issues in environmental stewardship, social equity and economic opportunity.We are seeking a versatile, team-oriented mid-level Technical Associate to join Skeo on a full-time basis, with full-time options ranging from 30 to 40 hours per week. Location is flexible, but reliable internet connection and being within two hours of an airport are required. This position will entail a willingness to support a wide range of technical work, including: the review, synthesis and presentation of technical materials to communities; analysis of technical documents related to contaminated waste sites; and supporting the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency by performing technical research and writing of Superfund Five-Year Reviews and other technical materials related to health and environmental impacts associated with hazardous waste. Prospective hires must be willing to periodically travel 3-6 days per month at various locations throughout the U.S. Ideal hires would be comfortable presenting technical information to a wide array of audiences in a virtual or in-person setting. While the position is expected to require 40 hours a week, there are times where it may be necessary to work more than 40 hours per week under tight deadlines.

Required Qualifications:
- No less than five years of experience performing field work or research and analysis of technical information related to the environmental field or another field where you can make clear connections to the work.
- Strong writing and communication skills with an ability to communicate technical information clearly to a lay audience through written materials and presentations.
- Working knowledge of the physical, chemical and biological processes that control the transport, migration and potential impacts of hazardous waste (e.g., in soil, air, groundwater, surface water, and/or sediments) to human health and the environment.
- Willingness to periodically travel 3-6 days a month (assuming safe and appropriate travel).
- Programmatic or field experience with the EPA Superfund removal or remedial cleanup process.
- Experience reviewing or supporting EPA Five-Year Reviews.
- Two to three years of experience managing projects or overseeing activities that translate to project management.
- Proven ability to support a range of projects, including projects outside of primary expertise.
- Willingness to learn new subject matter.
- Expertise in hydrogeology, geology, contaminants, human health risk assessment, remedial technologies, environmental engineering, or environmental monitoring.
- Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response certification.
- Experience developing or reviewing institutional controls (e.g., environmental covenants or deed notices).
- Experience working with/supporting diverse communities.
- Experience presenting technical information to large groups and diverse audiences.
