Due to our rapid double-digit growth over the past few years, we are looking to add an Associate Product Manager to our Team.
Your Role with Suncor Stainless & Atlantis Rail:
The Associate Product Manager will be the hands-on product expert who will play a key role in communicating the product department’s programs, initiatives, project status and activation to key internal partners, including Engineering, Marketing, Purchasing, Sales, Quality Assurance and Customer Service. You come with a successful track record of cultivating both trust and influence with key stakeholders, driving results and building a product pipeline infrastructure for the long haul. What you will do:
- Work closely with partners to keep cross functional team coordinated and on schedule through shifting product priorities across low, medium, and high-level projects.
- Drive accountability and enroll the team in the product process to meet our business objectives.
- Be the product expert while developing the standard processes for tracking Product Development Life Cycles from ideas to finished goods. Maintain the marketing side of the PDLC for new products, master product sheets with internal teams.
- Utilize your product knowledge to provide technical documentation, training, product testing and process for new product development and current product line.
- Develop and maintain all product documentation, instructions, and specifications along with documenting product revisions and issues. Communicate with internal stakeholders.
- Create best in class product training program for our Sales, Customer Service, Distributors, and internal teams. Helps in maintaining collateral and other support materials.
- Conduct market research to understand customer needs, trends, and competition in the industries. This would involve analyzing market data, customer feedback and industry reports.
- Attend industry and account Tradeshows, assist in preparation of our booth.
- Know our competition inside and out by analyzing and detailing category trends, new products, websites, and marketing/advertising efforts. Audit websites, analyze and deliver report on trends to internal team.
- Work in tandem with Marketing to develop and maintain our website product details, sales collateral, and specifications for current and new products.
- Provide the sales teams with necessary information, tools, and training to effectively sell the products.
- Review and analyze our current product information, instructions, and effectively communicate revisions to internal team.
- Assist in developing content, creating ‘How To’ product use and installation videos, instructions, white papers, and other collateral.

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Marketing, Industrial Design, or related field.
- Experience in product line management, product marketing, or product development of at least 2 years. Architectural experience is a plus.
- Background in Building Materials, Consumer products, Industrial, or Marine.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, verbal and written with the ability to explain complex products, applications, problems, and solutions clearly and concisely.
- You bring an entrepreneurial mindset to identify, create and execute new business opportunities.
- Ability to influence others to get things done in a timely fashion, balance multiple priorities and projects to meet deadlines.
- Willing to be involved hands on with all levels of day-to-day responsibilities.
- Resourceful go-getter who thrives on getting the job done right.
- Creative thinker who values innovation and progress.
- You have experience using project management tools, advanced level knowledge of MS office and Adobe suite.
- Take ownership of projects, programs and manage product specifications updates.
It’s a bonus if you:
- Have experience with manufactured and sourced products in a hardware manufacturing environment.
- Created instructional, hands on, how-to product videos.
- Hands on experience with architectural, industrial, or marine products.
- Have a good sense of humor and like to have fun while working hard.
- Trade show support experience is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $52,000.00 - $58,000.00 per year
