Sr. Territory Director- Adult Disabilities Group Home
REQUIREMENTS
Details: This is a Full-Time Position
INDI
- Oversee and follow the existing guidelines and policies for ICF programs/group homes of adult programs and services including medically complex and fragile individuals.
- Ensures all the regulated programs which are funded by the Department of Social Services (DSS) are meeting the both DDS regulations and Federal ICF regulations at all times for 12 group homes.
- Resolves staffing, scheduling and training issues with the support of your team including Assistant Manager’s who you will oversee.
- Participates in the development of and ensures implementation of the Agency Strategic Plan and regularly reviews statistical reports and data regarding quality of services, quality control, client records, DDS reports, reimbursement claims available funds, staffing documentation, regulatory stats, licensing reports, plans of correction, health department data, and staffing hours and data, and budget reports.
- Budgets and Finance: Develops and monitors budgets, operational plans, audits, COR, and monthly financial reports
- Oversee that quality assurance programs are in place and monitors the quality of program content, fiscal management, and the assigned location of group homes operation are meeting regulatory guidelines.
- Staff Management/Supervision: Serves as a management representative to the Board of Directors in all matters relating to assigned program operations.
- Motivates staff through good communication, advices best practices to manage ciaos or crisis situations, demonstrates professional conduct during stressful or crisis situations and acts as a role model to staff to develop a cohesive work ethic culture.
- Where necessary, discipline, in compliance with agency policy and procedures.
- This position requires site visits to 12 group homes, day programs and assigned independent living sites for higher functioning clients within Connecticut regularly to ensure home safety, effective training and staffing (including clinical, therapy, outside appointments and transportation arrangements fall within guidelines), continuous educational resources are provided, collaboration with group home managers, staff, senior staff, clinical staff, external healthcare vendors but not limited to.
REQUIREMENTS
- Master’s Degree in a related Human Services /Intellectual disabilities/Group Home Management
- 6 years’ experience working with DDS regulated environments
- At least 5 years leadership/management experience
- At least 5 years’ experience working with ICF programs serving adults with special needs as a Program Manager or Program Director
- Independent-Self driven individual with the ability to switch priorities and handle crisis situations daily
- Experience meeting established DDS policy and procedures within nonprofit organizations
- A strong desire and steady career path within any of the Social Services, Behavioral health services, human services, intellectual disabilities services
- Must bring a high level of experience with staffing, training, large territory of group home management.
- Excellent working knowledge with the Department of Health Regulations
- Excellent technical /computer skills: MS Excel, Word, Spreadsheets and reports -Excellent Medical records documentation.
