2. Performs administrative duties, including record keeping and documentation using c2cschools.com software to ensure proper documentation.
3. Provides onsite athletic training services for assigned team home and away events (i.e., games, practices, etc.) at the discretion of the head athletic trainer and athletic director to ensure athletes are prepared for competition.
4. Consults with University School's coaches and athletic department staff to ensure safety for all assigned student-athletes during practices and games in order to meet the individual needs of each student-athlete.
5. Practices continual communication between patient/athlete, physician, coach and parents/guardians on when and how patient/athlete can return to competition.
6. Evaluates injuries and determines in consultation with head athletic trainer, whether to refer student-athletes to a physician or manage minor injuries.
7. Assures supplies and equipment for athletic training room and home events (i.e. game, practice, etc.).
8. Facilitates health insurance related issues for all assigned student-athletes.
9. Ensures and maintain the privacy of health-related information of assigned student-athletes.
10. Reviews annually emergency action plan policies & procedures for athletic venues. Serves as a liaison between athletic training and public safety.
11. Establishes, updates and annually reviews inclement weather protocols for athletic venues. Establish the publication and maintenance of necessary emergency information to the athletics website.
12. Performs other duties as assigned.
2. National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification.
3. CPR/AED for the Healthcare Provider certified.
2. One (1) year experience at the high school, college or professional level as an Athletic Trainer Assistant.
