Audio-Visual Programmer
Job description
Job Summary
To be responsible for development, testing and implementation of control system source code, also to include audio (DSP) programming and implementation. This would include in-office and on-site commissioning of developed code.
Responsibilities
- Translate customer requirements into professionally presented and easy to use systems
- Design and custom coordinate graphical user interfaces (GUI) for end user facing touch panels
- Develop and test AV control system programming
- Troubleshoot and debug control system programming and AV systems
- Red line engineered drawings when changes are made and return to engineering job documentation in company database
- Complete training programs and gain certifications for manufacturers, industry associations and company as required
Skills and Abilities
- Communicate and interact with internal employees, clients and colleagues in a professional and timely manner
- Proven business writing skills
- Proficient with test and calibration equipment
- Advanced computer skills as required for the design, configuration, and operation of AV equipment
- Ability to work and think independently and meet deadlines
- Effective communication and interaction with employees, clients and colleagues
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals such as TCP/IP, addressing, firewalls, routers and VPN
- Familiarity with GUI design and graphics applications
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks as well as changing priorities
- Valid Driver’s License
Education
- CTS or NSCA equivalent
- Crestron Smart Graphics (CTI-SG)
- Crestron CTI-P201 Core Systems Programming
- Crestron CTI-P301 Advanced Programming Skills Preferred
- Extron GC-Pro Certified
- Digital Signal Processors (Biamp, Symmetrix, Extron, Clearone, & others
- Video Conferencing System training (Polycom, Cisco, Radvision, Vidyo & others)
- Formal education in Electronics or related field preferred
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- At least 5 years of AV experience is preferred
