Established, exciting accounting firm looking for enthusiastic Audit Associates to further relationships with clients, progress knowledge, and possesses a desire to advance within our company.

ESSENTIAL POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs audit, review and compilation procedures for clients as assigned by supervisors.
  • Prepares trial balances and complex financial statements using audit software programs, Word, and Excel.
  • Performs schedule computations of accruals, property and equipment, calculates depreciation expenses and long-term debt schedules for clients.
  • Reconciles accounts to control accounts.
  • Prepares audit reports.
  • Assists with planning and scheduling engagements.
  • Assists in proofing financial statements and other accounting documents.
  • Performs field work at client locations as necessary.
  • Performs other accounting, auditing and related duties as assigned by supervisory personnel.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

The position of Audit Associate does not have any supervisory responsibility.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting Required.
  • Experience in tax and/or audit accounting preferred.
  • Valid Certified Public Accountant license or working toward obtaining CPA license preferred.
  • Ability to communicate (orally and in writing) in a professional manner when dealing with clients and employees.
  • Appropriate interpersonal skills and ability to develop good rapport with employees and clients.
  • Competent computer skills to perform essential functions listed above including Microsoft Excel and audit related software.
  • Prompt and dependable attendance.
