Description
The Kentucky Department of Parks is seeking an experienced and motivated team leader with a passion for delivering exceptional guest service as our newest Auto Mechanic III at the Golf Course for Pennyrile Forest State Resort Park. The Resort has an 18-hole golf course, 24 lodge rooms, 13 cottages, dining room, meeting room, campground, mini golf, hiking trails, and excellent recreational opportunities.
The Resort Park situated in Christian County is one of the premier golfing, lodging, and dining facilities in Kentucky. You will work with the Golf Course Maintenance team and other park staff in providing exceptional guest services to the thousands of guests who visit this park throughout the year. As an Auto Mechanic III, you will be a key member of our team at Golf Course Maintenance providing excellent automotive equipment repair.
Job Duties include but are not limited to:

As an Auto Mechanic III, you will be a key member of our team at Golf Course Maintenance providing excellent automotive equipment repair.
Job Duties include but are not limited to:
- Mower repair
- Tractor repair
- Small engine repair
- Preventative maintenance
- Operating equipment
- Trustworthiness, dependability, integrity
- Knowledgeable of the offerings of the Park and surrounding area.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Willingness to work a variety of shifts/hours based on guest needs.
- Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations.
- Ability to work on your own or in teams.

Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION: NONE
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Three years of experience in the repair and maintenance of automotive vehicles and equipment.
Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: Related vocational or technical school training will substitute for the experience on a year for year basis.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): NONE
Working Conditions
Work is typically performed in a garage or field setting.
Probationary Period
This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
