Job Summary and Qualifications

Position Summary

Responsible for financial reporting, oversight on internal controls for general accounting, payroll and compliance reporting. Oversee month-end close process. Prepare and present variance explanation. Prepare budget and coordinate process.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Guarantees accurate and timely preparation, processing, distribution, and retention of all financial reports and records
  • Provide financial insight and input to the GPO’s strategic initiatives
  • Oversee the activities of the accounting department for the accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports including, but not limited to, internal and external monthly financial statements and annual audits and annual budgets.
  • Create, monitor and maintain controls and key operational performance measures related to the manufacturing and distribution subsidiaries
  • Oversee financial operations of the international offices including consolidation, annual tax requirements, and ad hoc questions
  • Provides technical accounting GAAP guidance and support to all company entities. At times, this may include involvement in due diligence and other activities surrounding acquisitions/disposals
  • Assure corporate income tax compliance to assure the accurate and timely completion of all corporate income tax returns taking full advantage of all favorable tax codes.
  • Establish and maintain systems and controls that verify the integrity of all systems, processes and data, and enhance the company's value.
  • Completes and/or reviews financial justifications for operational business cases and customer billing proposals
  • Respond to CFO as assigned with accurate and timely work to facilitate his financial needs.
  • Participate in a wide variety of special projects and compile a variety of special reports.
  • Communicate with co-workers, management, clients and others in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions.
  • Create, monitor and maintain key operational performance measures
  • Work with appropriate leadership teams to understand, develop, and communicate operational and expense data requests/reports
  • Interpret and present data for decision-making needs
  • Recommend to leadership areas of improvement and assist in driving results
  • Completes and/or reviews financial justifications for operational business cases
  • Understanding of methodologies for performing financial and opportunity analysis of proposals
  • Provides assistance to all management staff related to the performance of financial management matters
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree Required
  • Master's degree Preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in a leadership role Required

Licenses, Certifications, & Training:

  • Certified Public Accountant (active or inactive) Required
